LATTE’s PIANIST – DOUG FRY
Doug provided the piano music for the shows! Despite receiving Chemistry and Piano Performance degrees from Valparaiso University, he works full time in Chicago as an actuary. He also accompanies the choir at his church, fills in on organ when needed, and plays for weddings/special events on occasion. In his free time he likes to stay active (biking, kayaking, club sports), read (mostly sci-fi/fantasy), and get into fights with his new cat (Biscuit)! He couldn’t be more proud of all the cast members and wishes them the best in their future endeavors!
Reid Taylor studied at the Cleveland Institute of Music. It was there that he conducted many sacred chorus ensembles performing throughout the Cleveland area. He served as Music Director of the Vasa Voices, an ensemble dedicated to performing choral works in the Swedish language. An accomplished collaborative pianist, Reid tenured as a staff accompanist at the Tyrolean Opera Program in 2014 where he accompanied Puccini’s Tosca. As a tenor soloist, he sang the role of Spoletta in that opera as well. During the 2009/2010 season, Reid tenured as Assistant to the Conductor of the Pittsburgh Opera. In 2016 he conducted a production of de Falla’s La via breve with the Great Lakes Light Opera for the One World Festival in Cleveland Ohio. He has performed throughout the United States and abroad as a solo pianist. As a tenor soloist and avid linguist with a degree in German Literature and a minor in French and Italian from Case Reserve University, he put his linguistic skills to practice in many tenor roles at the Cleveland Institute Opera Theater and there received the Elizabeth Stoeckler Prize in German Lieder from the faculty. Reid enjoys composing musical arrangements and some of his works are performed by the Cleveland Orchestra. Mr. Taylor resides in Chicago’s North Shore with his much loved Beagle, Tammy-Sue.
